Wednesday Update On Dad

Dad had a good day! He was removed from the ventilator and already his thinking is clearer without the carbon dioxide in his lungs. Karis said he was able to tell the nurse who she was and he also remembered that she had been there earlier in the day. This might not seem like a big deal but considering that he was on high powered medications, like morphine this week, it is a big step in the right direction. Dad was able to hold conversations with Karis and she reports he can talk for about fifteen minutes before falling asleep. We are hopeful he may be able to resume rehab in the near future! Karis also spent part of the day scouting nurseries in her quest to turn our folks' place into a showcase for Better Homes And Gardens! Dad is so happy she is there with him and so are we. If you want to send Dad a message, mail me at steve@hawleybooks.com. Thanks for your prayers!
God bless,
Steve
