Dad's spirits were lifted today when Dave paid a visit of several hours. His seventh grade history classes from Wichita are on an overnight field trip to St. Louis and he was able to go by St. Luke's with Karis serving as chauffeur. Karis said Dad remembered that Dave was coming which is a good sign of his thought processes clearing. Karis reports that Dad is exhausted after talking for a couple of minutes but the hospital staff seems pleased with his progress just one week after the removal of a section of his colon. In gardening news, Karis has purchased bushes for the front of the house in the porch area. She has already mulched and planted flowers nest to the house. I told her she might want to rethink using that art degree and consider a career as a botanist. She loves what she is doing and so do we. Thanks for your constant prayers!
