Tuesday Update On Dad

I was able to talk to Dad for about fifteen minutes after his supper. His speech was very good although he continues to get frustrated when the right word doesn't come out. He is aware that this is the twenty-eighth day he has been in St. Luke's so he has a good comprehension of time...and that he wants to go home. He seems to crave the therapy, knowing it is the key to his recovery. Dad mentioned he was grateful that Mom didn't have to see what he has gone through. Later, I had a long conversation with Aunt Jerry and she made a great point of how we need to treasure the time we have remaining with our folks, no matter where they are. We are blessed with great family on both Mom's and Dad's sides. We have been given roots that have helped us persevere in a traumatic month with the Lord's help. And, of course, with your continued prayers!
God bless,
Steve
