Tuesday Update On Dad

I spent about three hours with Dad last evening. He was eating dinner when I arrived and it is a chore due to his weakness in his right- and dominant- hand. Dad is also experiencing vision problems in his right eye. He seems to have little depth perception or peripheral vision. On the bright side, Dad was able to speak in longer, connected paragraphs. The rehab is exhausting him which he knows is good. I am planning to go with him through his rehabilitation tomorrow, something encouraged by the hospital. Scott has also assigned me to check out several nursing homes tomorrow, a task, I have to admit, I am not relishing. Fortunately, Jeanette Gartner and Susan Jones are going along so I might have a clue what to look for! Dad is very appreciative of all the prayers and concerns so many have expressed! So are we! Please keep them up! We love you all.
God bless,

Steve

Coach Hawley,

I know that I don't know you very well, and I hope this year will open a lot of doors for me with you standing at the other side. I have only heard good things about you and I want to get to know you to that extint as well. I am very sorry about your father...I have been praying for you with my family at dinner and by myself. When I pray I think about my father, and it brings me to tears. I really want the best for you and your family, and I will continue to pray for their strength through this hard time. You are amaizng, I could tell as soon as I meet you.
Thank you for being so nice to me on the first day of school!
God Bless you Mr. Hawley.
