Beloved wife of 59 years of Roger Hawley. Dear mother of Dave (Sally) Hawley of Wichita, KS, Steve Hawley of Houston, TX, Scott (Karen) Hawley of Wichita, KS, Cecelya (Lee) Keller of Sidney, MT, Sandy Massey of Rapid City, SD; grandmother of Zach, Meagan, Ben, Karis, Seth and Nathan Hawley, Shanna Ogawa, Shaun Keller, Jessica (Brenen) Brown and Tyler Massey; great-grandmother of Bennett Hawley, Aylaina Ogawa, Carson and Sydney Brown, Miles and Avery Massey; brother of Monroe Hawley of Milwaukee, WI. She leaves behind many loved ones and dear relatives. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents Jord and Ruth, sister Evelyn, and great-granddaughter Harper Hawley.
Nelda was born and raised in Nashville, Arkansas and was educated at Harding College. She met her husband, Roger, while at Harding and the two were united in marriage on December 25, 1949. Over the years, the couple lived in Arkansas, New York, Nebraska, Texas, and Missouri. Nelda was an elementary school teacher as well as a noted speaker for Christian women’s groups. She and Roger also were very active in Marriage Encounter and Marriage Enrichment programs for many years
Services: Funeral service at Nashville Funeral Home, Nashville, Arkansas, Saturday, 10:00 A.M. with interment at New Corinth Cemetery. If desired, memorials may be made to the Namwianga Mission, in Zambia, c/o East Point Church of Christ, 747 N. 127th Street E., Wichita, KS 67206 in support of Nelda's granddaughter, Meagan or Christian Family Services, 7955 Big Bend Blvd, St Louis, MO 63119. Visitation will be at the Nashville Funeral Home, 1208 W Sunset St, Nashville, AR 71852, Friday 6-8 P.M.

What a beautiful job on the program and the sentiments are so discriptive of this beautiful woman! She has left a great heritage of those she has taught; I'm greatful to have been one to learn from her. Thanks for posting these!
