Monday Update On Dad

Blood loss continues to be an issue for Dad. Dave called me during school to tell me the doctors had decided to give him transfusions and keep him under observation as they still don't know the source. Both Dave and Karis reported this evening that Dad did better as the day wore on. He was encouraged by the arrival of Aunt Jerry and Uncle Jack from Arkansas. They were able to spend quite a bit of time with Dad as well as with Karis and Mom. Karis said Mom said the funniest, most random thing today. She was talking to Mom when Mom patted her on the shoulder and said, "Not now, honey. I'm about to sing Across The Universe." (For you non-Beatles fans, Across The Universe was a song by the Fab Four from the Let It Be album.) It was good for Karis to have the chance to have time with her great aunt and uncle. Please keep Dad in your prayers as he faces this situation with the blood loss. This is also a hard day in that it is the one year anniversary of the death of Harper. I reprinted her tribute from last April below. Thanks for being there for our family.
God bless,
Steve
