Dad continues to make small steps of progress. Today, the doctors removed a tube that was placed in his heart during the surgery and also some pacemaker wiring. His food is all coming through tubes due to swallowing issues but the nurse told Scott tonight that Dad has put on some weight! He tires very easily and it really hampers his speech. Karis is back home in Wichita after giving a week to helping Dad through this latest crisis. We owe her a great deal! Scott and Karen will arrive in St. Louis on Saturday, I will fly in Monday, and Dave and Sally will get there on Tuesday. Some of the legal issues are closer to being resolved. Please pray for Dad not to get discouraged and to have the will to keep fighting. Thanks for your constant prayers!
