Sunday Update On Dad

Dad enjoyed his first full day with Scott and his family. He seems to be making continual progress. Tomorrow is a big day. He will be evaluated and his swallowing will be tested. Hopefully, he has improved to the point where he can eat and drink orally. (He is dying for a Starbucks!) There are two options when he is transferred on Monday. First, he can move to another room in St. Luke's or return to Surrey Place where he was September through December. We are selfishly praying for St. Luke's for several reasons. The rehab will be more intense there and it is considerably closer to our folks' house, making it much easier for the family as we try to take care of Dad. Eliminating some driving time would also free up more time for us to spend with Mom. I am flying to St. Louis in the morning. Please keep my trip in your prayers and pray Dad's move tomorrow will be a good one. Scott also says the yard looks good where Terri's father has worked on it! Thanks for all so many of you do for us!
God bless,
Steve
