Wednesday Update On Dad

I lost one brother today and gained another. Dave and family left St. Louis this morning and Scott and family arrived this evening. Dad got good marks from the nurse that called this morning and the physical therapist who followed her. They both feel Dad is making progress. This morning, he cooked breakfast for himself- grits and coffee! This evening, we watched A Christmas Story as a family. Most of us have seen it twenty times but it doesn't seem to get old. Scott gave Dad his billfold back tonight. (Scott had been in possession of it for safe keeping.) Dad had one request; that we put some money in it. He said that would make him feel human again. It's funny how it never occurred to me that Dad not having his driver's license-credit cards-cash would be be a big deal but he has been without identification since July. Tomorrow, we meet with the lawyer, try to get the car fixed, work on selling the house, and maybe some more stuff. Thanks for all of your prayers!
God bless,
Steve

I love that movie, has to be the best movie ever made for Christmas time! I can't really imagine being able to take care of myself and then going into not even having an ID for myself, that would be... almost like some sci-fi movie ya know? But that's really good that he's getting as back to normal as he can. I'm happy for yall!
God Bless
Love ya
