Dad had a medical procedure today as doctors placed some sort of stint in him although he was not sure of the purpose. This limited the amount of therapy he went through but he was still enthused. In what appears to be a breakthrough, the rehab unit is now having Dad dress himself! He is able to handle buttons and putting on his shoes although the footwear has velcro instead of laces. His speech continues to show improvement. I think it is interesting that he still answers the phone with Hawleys' or Hawleys' Residence. Hey that's way cool that he's getting able to do that for himself! I've never had a family member have a stroke, but my grandfather had a heart attack, and I know that it was really exciting when life began to slowly return to the way things were before. So that's way cool!
