Thanks for all of your prayers on behalf of Dad. On Tuesday, Dad suffered a stroke as he went to bed. We were blessed that the health care provider, Laura, heard him call and immediately called 9-1-1. Dad is experiencing some slurring in his speech and inability to recognize objects. He is struggling for the right words and has limited use of his right side. My brother, Scott, and his daughter, Karis, are in St. Louis. Dad has begun his rehab already and we have high hopes for his recovery. Please also keep my brother, Dave, and his wife, Sally, in your prayers. They are in Africa, visiting their daughter, Meagan, who is serving a two year mission in a Christian orphanage in Zambia. Karis told me today that Mom asked where Dad was. I think that is good news of her awareness of her surroundings. Please keep praying!
