This afternoon, I talked with Dad for about ten minutes. He had just spoken with one of his doctors and they will run tests on his back tomorrow. He was experiencing problems with a bulging disc before the stroke but it was understandably put on the back burner. He retains his humor and is very much looking forward to going home in several weeks, Lord willing. He hasn't really mentioned Mom's situation and I just have left it alone. We hope to put their house on the market shortly after he returns home. Dad is going to need some health care workers with him, at least for awhile. Mom and Dad's congregation, the Lafayette church of Christ, continues to overwhelm us with their kindness and willingness to help when we can't be there. Thanks to the elders for meeting with Dave and helping him with advice on what we are dealing with. Even though these past weeks have been a nightmare, we are so blessed by so many and once again, we say, "Thanks!"
