Stuart Scott (Dave Hawley)

Good evening!  I'm still on a mission trip to Vietnam, leaving to return to the US today. For the next two evenings, my spot will be filled by my brother, Dave, who incidentally is the nation's winningest high school tennis coach   in the past year was inducted into four Hall of Fames! Please keep me in your prayers!

This is the week of the ESPY AUCTIONS, featuring packages related to sports that are bid on, with the money going to fight cancer. I love listening to the options, but it is ALWAYS emphasized... even if financially you can’t bid, give something... every little bit helps.
The man above is Stewart Scott, longtime ESPN anchor who was a big favorite and who lost his battle with cancer a few years back, but not his spirit... I heard his ESPY speech again this morning and in it was a nugget that struck me hard... while in the hospital, he was visited by many friends and colleagues who expressed remorse that they could not do more... HE said to them, you did something right now... you made a visit. It may seem ‘ little’ but it meant a ton.
Matthew 25 talks about “the little things” we do or don’t’ do... visit the sick, feed the hungry, etc.... we may think we are powerless to make a difference but the little things make a huge difference.

Blessings to you all today!

God bless,
Steve
