It was an emotional day for Dad. He and Cecelya spent hours going through boxes of old stuff. Although he realizes it is necessary to dispose of some things he once would have described as keepsakes, he still is pained by it. Dad was overjoyed to speak to Karis and Meagan today as they discussed taking possession of some of his most treasured books. It means so much to know his granddaughters share the same love of literature as he does! I read him a long e-mail from a friend who used to live in St. Louis and was close to both Mom and Dad. I can't tell you how much that means to him! Thanks for all your prayers for our folks and our family!
