Wednesday Update On Dad

In spite of his hospitalization and news about heart problems from yesterday, Dad was in a very good mood tonight. He had a steady stream of visitors all day and he described the day as a picnic. He also has received a number of phone calls and he feels very loved. Please keep them up! He has no indication of his time to go home which was to have been tomorrow. Please keep praying for his healing and renewed spirit!
God bless,
Steve

It's good to hear that he had a good day, sounds like he needs more of those. Hopefully everything is okay with him soon enough.
God Bless

It is wonderful to see God's people surrounding him to hold him up! When we get hit, it's hard to feel God's arms holding us up...in fact I am a firm believer that God expects us to be his hands - when we don't respond to a need, we are tying the hands of God! The scriptures clearly say that in Mark 6:5
"He could not do any miracles there, except lay his hands on a few sick people and heal them. And he was amazed at their lack of faith." In this case, the scripture is talking about people's faith blocking Jesus power because of their unbelief - but the same is true (at least I believe this is true) that if we don't respond to those in need, that no miracles can be done because we didn't believe that "our little visit could make that much of a differance" All one would have to see is the difference between yesterday and today to know that a miracle had taken place for Roger. He wasn't looking at the negative part of what was said yesterday when he ended his day today. Instead he was able to end it by remembering all the love that had been shared with him today!

Steve, I will tell you that he lights up when any of the kids call; the fact that he can always count on your call every night - well, you just don't know the blessing that is to your dad! Just thought you should know that!
