With lots of talk about how commercialized weddings were and that we should do this or that, we sat down and said “minimal but grand.” I agree that weddings and even views on marriage is all about the show, how grad it can be. I am glad that we constantly reminded each other that the point of the day is become husband and wife and not about throwing the biggest party with the most guests and the most expensive decorations. I loved this post and hope our generation can begin to realize that at the end of the day you are marrying a man/ woman and that they stay with you forever, the decorations, the venue, etc doesn’t go with you so invest in the marriage just as much as you invest in the wedding. <br />The Sutton family miss you! How dangerous (and sad) that marriage and relationships are being commercialized and taken as a game. The mass media is sending the wrong message to our youngsters. Clearly, God has been excluded. Our mission as parents, teachers, uncles/aunts, grandparents, is to promote respect, spirituality and integrity.
