Your folks are/were two of my favorites and my mom loved you as a student! May the Lord bless your family and I guess we are sort of related!!Steve Hawleyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00797996813826447556noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-17957153.post-86197264625837714772012-01-10T01:11:32.619-06:002012-01-10T01:11:32.619-06:00Hmmm...on further reflection, I think your dad was...Hmmm...on further reflection, I think your dad was responding to my stated desire to have him for a teacher. Since that was his last semester teaching there, he was letting me know I would have no other opportunity to be in his class. So it was really less about me and more about him. At any rate, I have fond memories of third grade because of your mom, who taught me at York. Also, your sister is my Aunt Cece because she married my dad's brother.Stephanie10https://www.blogger.com/profile/05159906899504468873noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-17957153.post-7083109106262669082012-01-09T04:42:21.176-06:002012-01-09T04:42:21.176-06:00Stephanie, you must have been a very special stude...Stephanie, you must have been a very special student for Dad to want you in that class so badly. One of the classes would eventually require an additional 3+ hrs/wk volunteering as a phone counselor. Not far into the semester, I got engaged, with plans to marry just after the semester ended. I knew there was no way I could get all A's with that kind of time crunch, so I decided to drop the psych class with the extra time requirement. The teacher didn't make it easy, though. He shocked me by suggesting I embrace B's if necessary. There was nothing in me that would accept less than an A, and I knew I would skip meals and sleep before lowering my academic standards. I was convinced dropping the class was the only way to maintain all A's without sending myself to a hospital, so that's what I did. The teacher was very disappointed as he wanted to have me in his class. It was the last one he taught at LCC. His name was Roger Hawley.Stephanie10https://www.blogger.com/profile/05159906899504468873noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-17957153.post-1133984327701146312005-12-07T13:38:00.000-06:002005-12-07T13:38:00.000-06:00Hey coach, gosh you post early in the mornings hop...Hey coach, gosh you post early in the mornings hope you have a good day!<BR/>*Devin*Devin Raechellehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10146822995508848953noreply@blogger.com
